Fintastics Cuts for Kids the new cutting edge kid's salon that combines function with fun and
entertainment is celebrating its Grand Opening with a fundraiser for The Surrey Firefighters Association Burn Fund on Saturday April 9, 2011.

Hoping for a good turn out owner Jack Tchillingarian has offered up free gifts for the first 50 kids and coffee for grown ups compliments of Starbucks. Surrey Acting Mayor Councillor Marvin Hunt will open the day at 10 am and MLA Jagrup Brar will bring it to a close at 5pm. Kids big and small will also have a chance to meet fire fighter Mark Bernoia (and barring emergencies get a close up look at a real fire truck).

For the rest of the day folks will have a chance to check out the unusual salon with its TV/DVD/radio equipped chairs that also feature Nintendo WII, XBox and Playstation 3 as well as baby friendly vehicles like Thomas the Train, Pink Barbie Jeep and Red Ferrari. A special events room normally used for glamour girl birthday parties will host magic shows by Aaron Martini and a mini blues concert by blues legend Wes Mackey.

Fintastics will be selling $5 raffle tickets for their Grand Prize and will match each ticket sale dollar for dollar. They are also donating $1 per haircut and are encouraging clients to book ahead. Other donation opportunities include using kid's beauty services like minicures, tattoos, makeup and fancy hair up dos. With such an array of eclectic options it is sure to be a fun filled day.
