Aptly titled: Beyond Body, Beyond Mind: Overcome Uncertainty, Transcend Challenge and Hardships & Fulfill Your Dreams, the book teaches readers how we can achieve what we conceive in our minds, how to experience our own power when we remove the barriers to our potential, and that challenges are blessings in disguise.
Dr. Sukhi was a high school dropout who lived a life of crime, violence, and drugs in the Vancouver East Side for the first 18 years of his life. The book opens with an introduction to his ultimate low point when the author finds himself with the barrel of a shotgun placed firmly in his mouth, tears streaming down, and toes on the end ready to pull the trigger.
It was through a number of fateful events that Dr. Sukhi Muker evolved from the slums into an award-winning doctor, ultra-endurance athlete, speaker, and author. His book introduces what he has learned after reading over 1,000 texts and immersing himself in over 200 disciplines.
I have only read up to page 78 (at the time of writing this article), but I can honestly say that while there are a number of personal empowerment books on the market, there are none quite like this. His background, perspective, and experiences shed a new light on what is possible if you learn to understand the physics, chemistry, and mechanics behind the process of finding your inner happiness and success.
