World News It's All Relative Did You Know? Opinion On The Streets
Monster  by Deborah Burns from Vancouver, BC has been selected for the NSI Online Short Film Festival. The festival is hosted by the National Screen Institute – Canada (NSI) a national training school widely known for its prestigious training courses for Canadian writers, directors and producers working in film and television.

Monster is a fable set in a pastoral post-apocalyptic time. Hannah, played by
Jodelle Ferland (Paranorman, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Silent Hill) draws the winning lot to feed a terrifying hungry monster waiting in the forest. When things go wrong and her offering escapes, she discovers the monster’s cunning secret.

The NSI Online Short Film Festival is the only year-round, 100% Canadian online film festival. New films are added to the NSI website weekly.

Deborah Burns says, The script for 'Monster' won the 3rd annual Hot Shot Shorts Contest in Vancouver. This awarded us with sponsorship and support from the local film and animation community, and the opportunity to make a top quality film that has been to festivals around the world. NSI online festival is a great way for Monster to be seen by a wider audience in Canada and internationally.  It is exciting to be a part of a festival that consistently recognizes some of the best short films Canada has to offer.”
